About

Frida Barrera Enciso is a London-based Mexican artist capturing the quirks and nuances of the human face. Through simple, flowing lines, her drawings reveal expressions that are both familiar and unexpected — a raised eyebrow here, a lopsided grin there. With each piece, she invites viewers to find a bit of themselves in the faces she creates.

After completing a BA in History of Art at Loyola University Maryland and an MA in Arts & Cultural Management, Barrera Enciso debuted her work in the group exhibition Moodily Blooming. Her series Caras explores the idea that our faces are a mix of hidden stories and fleeting emotions. Inspired by everyday observations, she distills these moments into playful, minimalist portraits that reflect the small dramas and joys we all carry. Her work is simple but never predictable — each face has its own personality, inviting you to see new expressions with every glance.
